Meet Dr. Richard Olin
“I am truly excited about going to work every single day. There are always new patients, interesting cases, and fascinating conversations. As a dentist, I enjoy helping people get healthy, achieve a great smile, and keep that smile in perfect shape.” Dr. Richard J. Olin
Dr. Olin graduated from UMDNJ – New Jersey Dental School with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1983. Since graduation he’s pursued continuing education, constantly learning about new techniques, materials, and technologies. His studies have included laser dentistry, TMJ-TMD treatment, and dental implants, as well as other forms of prosthodontics.
Dr. Olin’s active memberships in the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry allow him to learn from the leading researchers and practitioners in dentistry.
For Dr. Olin, it’s essential to provide gentle, stress-free dental procedures that keep his patients smiling. He enjoys the diversity of his days and conversing with his patients. He especially enjoys watching young patients grow up with a positive outlook about visiting the dentist and taking care of their teeth.
After growing up in Rahway and Colonia, Dr. Olin now lives in central New Jersey. He enjoys golfing and skiing, keeping fit, escaping into a book, and cooking. He also enjoys time with his two sons: one is a chef and the other is currently a college student, studying business.
Since he was ten years old, Dr. Olin has been passionate about volunteering his time and skills for community service. He now offers care for the needy and less fortunate in our community, providing dental screening and treatment for the underprivileged, as well as being active in The Elks.
Meet Dr. Elizabeth Philipone
Dr. Elizabeth Philipone is an Associate Professor of Oral Pathology at the Columbia University College of Dentistry and conducts oral cancer screenings and biopsies for her patients. Dr. Philipone is available on Saturdays exclusively, which allows families the advantage of having all of their dental needs treated simultaneously.
Meet Dr. Neha Golwala
“My most humbling moment, as a dentist, is when I can create a smile out of apprehension. My goal is always to provide a positive and comfortable experience, regardless of the treatment, and help patients move through any anxiety they have.
I strive to listen and understand my patients’ needs and past dental experiences. By knowing what they’ve experienced and what they desire, I’m able to help them. I educate each patient about their dental condition and walk them through what treatment will entail and how the experience will be for them.
A lot of anxiety is a result of not knowing what to expect: I remove that from the equation, keeping patients informed and engaged in their care. I am repaid with my patients’ smiles and words of thanks.” Dr. Neha Golwala
Dr. Golwala graduated from UMDNJ – New Jersey Dental School with her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD); she went on to complete a general practice residency with the Manhattan VA Medical Center.
Dr. Golwala feels that working in any field of healthcare is a lifelong journey of learning. Whether that involves learning from patient experiences, discussing cases with peers, reading journals, or attending courses, to be a dentist is to constantly seek out new information.
Every year, Dr. Golwala completes continuing education courses in topics ranging from implant and restorative dentistry to pediatric dentistry, patient management, laser dentistry, and Invisalign®. She also attends multiple conventions and gatherings, including the ADA annual convention and the Greater NY Dental Meetings.
Dr. Golwala is an active member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the World Clinical Laser Institute. Through these organizations she has access to the latest research, discussions of methodologies, and newest technologies.
Originally from northern New Jersey, Dr. Golwala and her husband, whom she met in college, now live in the central part of the state. When not caring for patients, she loves to cook, bake, and spend time with family and friends. Health and fitness are also important to Dr. Golwala; as a former second degree black belt, she can often be found at the gym.
Additionally, Dr. Golwala enjoys being active in our community. Throughout the year she participates in various health fairs, educational programs at local schools, and community programs, such as Rahway Day.
